IT is a private, non-profit organisation owned by the Technical University of Lisbon, University of Aveiro, University of Coimbra, Portugal Telecom Inovação, S.A and Siemens Portugal. IT mission is to create and disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of telecommunications in order to both improve higher education and training, both at graduate and postgraduate levels, and to improve the competitiveness of Portuguese industry and Telecommunications operators. The research unit has been evaluated by an expert panel selected by “Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia” (the national agency for research), in 1996 and 1999: as a result of this evaluation IT has been selected in 2001 by the Portuguese Government to hold the distinction of the Government Associate Laboratory in the area of Telecommunications. The Aveiro pole of IT currently has about 28 PhD researchers (many of which also holding teaching positions at the University of Aveiro), plus 78 other researchers, with expertises on radio and microwave, optical, networks and circuit design. IT has been involved since its foundation in several projects in the area of wireless either at a national or European level, namely in the ACTS and IST programmes (e.g. SAMBA, ASILUM, MOBYDICK, MATRICE, 4MORE, DAIDALOS, 4MORE, ORACLE) Networks of Excellence (ACE, TARGET, EuroNGI, E-PHOTON, CRUISE).

Still with a small team of 5 members, Clynx have good growth prospects, provided by the good results from its first in-clinic pilot. Some of the greatest achievements of Clynx were being awarded in the european InnoStars Awards by EIT Health, in 2018, and being currently one of the six startup nominees for GovTech, a nationwide competition that recognizes startups that solve problems within the "Sustainable Development Goals" defined by the United Nations.

medVC is a company from the small and medium size enterprise (SME) sector from Poznań, Poland. Its main product is medVC, a remote collaboration tool for medical professionals allowing real-time audio-video communication and the usage of specialised medical services. It is designed to be installed in operating rooms, conference rooms and doctors’ offices and makes it possible to send multiple High Definition (HD) video streams coming from cameras, microscopes, endoscopes and other medical equipment. The doctors have the possibility to pause video streams, mark areas of the picture, save snapshots of the image to a medical repository, collaboratively work on DICOM images, record and stream a video collaboration session. Furthermore, medVC is capable of transmitting stereoscopic (3D) video coming from cutting edge medical devices. All the above mentioned features make medVC a superb remote collaboration, consultation and education tool for medicine. It is being used in many hospitals and medical universities around Europe, including: Poland, Austria, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Luxembourg. medVC also develops its own telemedicine solution to connect the patient with the doctor despite the distance. This solution is being used for remote rehabilitation, post-surgery supervision, care at home and elderly care.

PSNC, established in 1993, is affiliated to the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. PSNC is a leading research and computing centre in Poland which focuses on using, innovating and providing optical networking, high-performance computing, middleware services and advanced Web-based applications to enable advances in eScience and engineering. Currently, PSNC hires nearly 300 employees, most of whom are researchers conducting applied research. Research and development conducted by the centre involves problems and challenges related to the practical application of ICT in various sectors, including such areas as public administration, healthcare, social welfare, education or security. PSNC has several active computer science research groups working on such aspects as: telemedicine and e-health, application portals, IoT platforms, digital media services, mobile user support technologies and services, digital libraries, network protocols and solutions. PSNC has been involved in over 140 R&D projects funded by FP5, FP6, FP7, H2020 and other European programmes, coordinating several of them. The centre has been awarded the Crystal Brussels Prize as the best Polish research institution in carrying out European projects. PSNC coordinated the Fit4Work project and participated in the PaletteV2 project (both were AAL Programme projects). It also carried out the technological development in the SelFind project (technologies for people with intellectual disabilities, national programme). Together with the Regional Centre of Social Policy of the Wielkopolska region and the City of Poznań, PSNC has operated the social innovations incubator WINS (social innovations for the elderly and people with disabilities). PSNC is also coordinating two large European projects – PELOSHA (AAL Programme project), aiming to provide a comprehensive set of health and wellbeing management services for older adults, and INSENSION (H2020 project), focused on enhancing the possibilities of communication with people with intellectual disabilities.

Through IRM cloud solution, health information will be managed in the cloud to be accessed by authorized healthcare professionals anytime and anywhere using various devices, PCs, smart phones and tablets.

CMC CDW system has the largest single EMR hospital network in South Korea, and it currently has seven affiliated hospitals and some 5,800 beds. Each hospital is a medical organization under the CMC and collaborators can access 10 million patient records and available data sources include electronic health records (EHRs), registries, medical images, and patient-generated data.
